Spring has been the season of vendor events. My most recent event was Real Texas Festival in Mesquite. I had the pleasure of working this event with a group of great Thirty-One gals. This event was extra fun because of the wind. I volunteered to go out early and help with the set-up - a job we thought would take just a few minutes. Well didnt quite go that well. We were chasing bags every where.
There were some positives for the morning. We were there in plenty of time to improvise and get some side walls for the tent. Plus, Suzie got interviewed for the news. Here is the footage, you can see me in the background trying to keep the bags from blowing off the table which they did several times during the photo shoot.
While we were waiting on the side walls to be installed, I made a trip to the home improvement store. I bought some heavy duty zip top bags and some sand. I was the crazy lady standing on the parking lot with a coffee cup filling bags with sand. I got a lot of strange looks. I am sure people were thinking what is she doing.
In end, it took most of the day, but we got the booth all set-up. The sand bags kept the our display mostly in place. The side walls blocked most of the wind and we got to meet some nice people.
